A few days ago, the new factory area of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. Foundry Branch is being advanced in an orderly manner. After the new plant of the foundry branch is completed, it will become a benchmark enterprise in the automotive foundry industry and a practitioner of Industrialization 4.0.
At the site of the relocation and reconstruction project of Dongfeng Foundry Branch, the basic construction of the two workshops has been completed, and the auxiliary houses and supporting facilities are also being gradually constructed.
Li Yuan, manager of the relocation project team of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd.’s foundry factory: “Using industrial robots, automated roller tables and ingenious mechanisms to replace traditional manual operations, etc., create a fast and transparent information collection channel, and build an energy-saving, low-carbon, and environmentally friendly environment coordination. Lean smart foundry.”
The relocation project of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd.’s foundry plant with a total construction area of 88,000 square meters includes 11 building units including foundry and core-making joint plant, cleaning and machining joint plant, office building, and canteen. It is expected that in October this year, the equipment will begin to enter the site for installation and commissioning in stages; it will be fully completed in June 2023, with a designed production capacity of 50,000 tons, and an automated green and intelligent foundry will be truly built.
