Lu’an Economic and Technological Development Zone builds a whole industry chain of aluminum die-casting low-carbon cycle

On June 10, Lu’an Municipal People’s Government and NIO signed a framework cooperation agreement. The two parties will jointly build a supporting industrial park for intelligent electric vehicle parts in Lu’an Economic and Technological Development Zone, and a supporting industrial park for intelligent electric vehicle parts in Lu’an Economic and Technological Development Zone. It is planned to cover an area of ​​about 900 mu, and will introduce parts and components supporting enterprises such as vehicle dismantling, aluminum and other material recycling, aluminum material smelting, aluminum die-casting and wheel manufacturing, to create an aluminum die-casting low-carbon cycle full industrial chain. The first phase of the park is planned to be completed and put into operation in the first half of 2023. By then, it will have an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons of aluminum die-casting, with an estimated annual output value of 10 billion yuan. After the first phase is completed and put into production, NIO’s vehicle aluminum die-casting products will reduce carbon emissions by about 50%.
