The “7th International Forum on Nonferrous Alloys and Special Casting Technology” co-organized by the World Foundry Organization Nonferrous Alloy Committee, the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society Foundry Branch, the State Key Laboratory of High-end Equipment Light Alloy Casting Technology, and Shenyang Foundry Research Institute Co., Ltd. The theme of “Innovation, Green, High-quality Development” will be held at the Renaissance Shenyang Sunlion Hotel from September 21 to 24, 2022.
This forum focuses on scientific and technological hotspots and forward-looking technologies, with new energy vehicles, aerospace, and gas turbines as key application fields of non-ferrous alloys, and invites well-known academicians, experts, scholars and colleagues in the foundry industry to discuss hot topics in the industry, exchange scientific and technological innovation achievements, and share advanced Technology application, grasp the opportunity of transformation and upgrading and rapid development, and help the high-quality development of non-ferrous alloys and special casting fields.

Summary of the report:Foundry is an indispensable and important link in the development of equipment manufacturing industry, and an important support for the development of many main engines and major technical equipment. The solidification nucleation theory elevates casting from a skill to a science, and from shape control to shape control, structure control, and performance control, which has spawned the rapid development of high-performance metal materials. The report introduces the development status and trends of advanced materials and foundry technology, and the comparison of domestic and foreign situations, and expounds the prominent role of basic materials and foundry technology in the process of advanced equipment manufacturing industry foundation and industrial chain modernization; “Neck” problem, focusing on the manufacture and application of high-end core components of aerospace.
Brief introduction of the reporter:Chen Guang, material scientist, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, professor of Nanjing University of Science and Technology. The chief scientist of the key projects of the National Defense Science and Technology Innovation Special Zone, enjoys the special government allowance of the State Council, the winner of the National Innovation Award and the National Technology Invention Award. Undergraduate majoring in foundry technology and equipment in 1977 (Hebei University of Science and Technology), obtained a master’s degree in foundry from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 1989 (under the tutelage of Professor Xiong Guoqing), and obtained a doctorate degree in materials science and engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 1999 (under the tutelage of Fu Hengzhi) academician).
