In order to fully stimulate innovation and creativity, Guangsheng Mining has continuously improved the scientific and technological innovation system and formulated a series of innovation reward methods: in 2015 and 2021, it established two scientific and technological innovation platforms: Guangdong Tantalum and Niobium Smelting Engineering Technology Research Center and Qingyuan Tantalum and Niobium New Material Innovation Base. In 2024, it established a tantalum and Niobium New Materials Product R&D and Innovation Studio, which has established a collaborative research mechanism led by professors and experts, backbones, and integrated innovation of industry, academia and research, and has continuously enhanced its scientific and technological innovation capabilities.
At present, Guangsheng Mining's tantalum and niobium industry enterprises have 32 patents, leading or participating in the drafting of 28 national and industry standards, and was selected into the “2024 Guangdong Top 100 Innovation Enterprises” list in September 2024.

It is one of the few domestic manufacturers that master the production technology of high-purity tantalum powder and medium-pressure tantalum powder.
Capacitor-grade tantalum powder is highly irreplaceable in the high-end capacitor market. In August 2024, Guangsheng Mining achieved significant results in its research and development in this field. All indicators of FTA series grade capacitor-grade tantalum powder have met industry standards, making positive contributions to the Guangsheng New Materials relocation and upgrading project in Guangdong Province, Guangsheng New Materials relocation and upgrading project.
