On May 1, the launch ceremony of the Super Selected Off-Road Carnival and the “Casting Summer” art exhibition officially kicked off at the former site of Yongning Foundry.
At the launch ceremony held on the same day, Jiang Longliang, chairman of Chaoxuan Group Co., Ltd. and director of Beijing Chaoxuan Intelligent Technology Research Institute, signed a cooperation agreement with Lian Aijun, secretary of the Party Branch of Xishangou Village, Yongning Town, and then unveiled the Chaoxuan Off-road Park with Yan Ming, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Yongning Town and mayor of the Chaoxuan Off-road Park. Liu Tao, director of the District Commerce Bureau, announced the first launch of the Super League Off-road Carnival event. It is understood that the Super Selected Off-Road Park covers an area of more than 5,000 acres. Relying on the unique mountainous landforms of the local area, it plans to build a 10-kilometer professional off-road track and ATV experience project. It attracted nearly 100 off-road enthusiasts to come and experience it on the first day.

The exhibition of Xu Jianguo's sketching and sculpture works hosted by the School of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University was launched simultaneously with the Off-Road Carnival. Xu Jianguo once designed the sculpture of Guichuan Square “Guichuan Love”. At the exhibition, nearly 100 manuscripts and sculptures are arranged along the time axis, from sketches in the 1970s to public art in recent years, outlining the development context of contemporary art education in China.
The intangible cultural heritage market at the event was also very lively. The children were fascinated by the intangible cultural heritage pastry making stalls, and Yongning's specialty Ganoderma lucidum noodles, organic tomatoes and other agricultural products are also very popular. After nightfall, tourists walked through the ancient streets and alleys with food maps, enjoying the intangible cultural heritage banquet in the newly opened Yongning Mansion Hotel, and enjoying the all-weather experience of “day exhibition viewing and night carnival”.
According to statistics, the event attracted more than 3,300 visitors on the day of the event. Yongning Ancient City received 23,341 tourists on May 1, an increase of 10.5% over last year; tourism revenue increased by 33.2%, and the number of B&B receptions increased by 6.5%. At the same time, the sales of surrounding agricultural products have increased by three times, and the radiation and driving role of the cultural and tourism industry has been continuously highlighted, effectively activateing new momentum for the rural economy.

In the future, Yongning Town will rely on super-selected off-road parks to continue to hold off-road events, using “sports + cultural tourism” as the engine to activate new momentum for rural development.
