Qinghai Salt Lake Industry Co., Ltd. (“Salt Lake Co., Ltd.”) announced that on December 12, Anhui Salt Lake Teli Magnesium New Material Co., Ltd. (“Anhui Salt Lake Teli Magnesium”) held its groundbreaking ceremony in Hanshan Economic Development Zone, Ma’anshan City, Anhui. Anhui Salt Lake Teli Magnesium was invested and established by Qinghai Salt Lake Teli Magnesium Co., Ltd. (“Teli Magnesium”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Salt Lake Co., Ltd., to build a new magnesium-aluminum alloy development and application project with an annual output of 5,000 tons in Hanshan Economic Development Zone .
It is understood that on October 27 this year, Salt Lake Co., Ltd. issued an announcement that Teli Magnesium, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, plans to invest in the development and application of new magnesium and aluminum alloy materials in Hanshan County, Ma’anshan City, Anhui Province. The project is implemented and constructed by Anhui Salt Lake Teli Magnesium, with a total investment of 49.8605 million yuan. The planned total area is 200 acres and will be constructed in two phases.
Among them, the new plant and supporting facilities in the first phase of the project are about 30,000 square meters, mainly producing magnesium alloy and aluminum alloy die-casting products. Magnesium alloy die-casting products are mainly automobile instrument panel beams, 3C product shells, and aero engine parts. Aluminum alloy die-casting products are mainly communication base station filters, motorcycle wheel valleys and shock towers. After the entire project is completed and put into production, it will have an annual production capacity of 5,000 tons of magnesium and aluminum alloy die castings.
Salt Lake said that at present, most of the domestic die-casting manufacturing industry is concentrated in the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, coastal areas and other regions. In Maanshan, Anhui, the supporting industries such as die-casting manufacturing, mold design, and full-process production are relatively complete. The industry has concentrated high-tech talents and strong R&D capabilities. The construction of this project will take advantage of the abundant magnesium metal resources of the salt lake, advanced die-casting equipment and the rich production practice and management experience of Teli Magnesium, which can consume the raw material inventory of upstream magnesium metal, expand the industrial chain, and increase the added value of products. Building economic growth is of greater significance.
