The National Intelligent Casting Industry Innovation Center announced that a few days ago, the opening ceremony of the first 3D printing and casting full-process intelligent factory in the Yangtze River Delta was held in Wuhu, Anhui.
According to reports, the factory is invested and constructed by the Shared Intelligent Casting Industry Innovation (Anhui) Center and is located in the 3D printing town of Chungu. The factory mainly adopts leading information and manufacturing technologies such as “3D printing, AGV transfer, automatic core assembly by robots, automatic pouring, full-process virtual manufacturing, and intelligent production cells”. After completion, it will achieve an annual output of 3,000 tons of high-end parts for R&D and trial production, and a production capacity of 2,000 tons of 3D printing sand cores for export. It will become the world’s leading smart casting demonstration factory based on the industrial application of 3D printing.
