China FAW and BYD joint venture power battery project starts in Changchun

After the project is completed and put into production, it can meet the configuration requirements of 600,000 electric vehicles every year, and achieve an annual output value of more than 20 billion yuan.

At present, Changchun is speeding up the construction of an international automobile city with China FAW as the leader. The official goal is to build a world-class auto industry base with an output value exceeding one trillion yuan by 2025.

BYD is a globally competitive rechargeable battery manufacturer. The power battery project jointly built with China FAW is another major project in Changchun International Automobile City following the Audi FAW new energy vehicle project.

It is understood that the project covers an area of ​​800,000 square meters. According to Wang Chuanfu, chairman and president of BYD Group, BYD will strengthen cooperation with China FAW to accelerate the local transformation and implementation of green technologies, build a strategic base for power batteries in Northeast China, and build a local ecosystem for the auto industry.
