The official website of the League of Legends updates the hero blueprint:

As early as the release of Star Forge Dragon King, many players were very excited for him. With this boom, his first-day buy rate reached our highest level. Many people very much like and look forward to using an arrogant star-casting dragon. It’s a pity that the gameplay we designed did not match everyone’s enthusiasm. Most players played with him for a few games, but they never used it again. His usage dropped to the lowest level in the game, and he never turned over again. Nonetheless, he still ranks among the top 10 most popular looking champions in our hero survey, even though his gameplay rating is always at the bottom of the queue. We’ve tried making some small tweaks to Sol, but when discussing how to improve it, we agreed that his gameplay needs to be done from scratch.

We didn’t think the small changes would help him match his character theme, so we decided to try a new way to update heroes: Comprehensive Gameplay Updates, or CGUs. The goal of CGU is to update the following two types of hero gameplay: heroes whose art and backstory are high quality, but the gameplay cannot achieve the character set, or the gameplay has more complex problems that cannot be changed by changing one or two skills (such as Tamm). Small tweaked effect) on heroes resolved. For both heroes, we’ll redesign the hero’s gameplay using the same models, themes, and backstories. Thor will be the first champion to receive the CGU, and if everyone is happy with the results, we will review other champions that meet the above criteria in the future.

Our goal was to give this little dragon a whole new set of gameplay changes similar to Urgot or Sion’s visual gameplay updates, while making sure the changes were consistent with his original theme. We would like to emphasize his dragon setting, which he doesn’t show very well at the moment. At the same time, the new star casting gameplay we designed for him is not only cool, but also more natural to play. Although the final time has not been set, our current goal is to deliver the updated and better Starcasting Dragon King to everyone by the end of the year. I really hope he ends up being the dragon that everyone was so excited about.
