On June 5th, the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and the Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment announced the list of foundry production capacity, including 11 enterprises located in Taiyuan. As a key foundry area in Shanxi, our city guides the green development of the foundry industry and wins the battle to defend the blue sky.
According to the provincial government’s “Notice on Printing and Distributing Shanxi Province’s Three-Year Action Plan for Winning the Blue Sky Defense War” and other relevant policies, the key casting areas in our province are: the surrounding areas of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, including Taiyuan City, Yangquan City and other cities; Fenwei Plain, Including Jinzhong City, Yuncheng City and other cities; Taiyuan surrounding areas, as well as Xinfu District, Yuanping City, and Dingxiang County in Xinzhou City.
In order to win the battle to defend the blue sky, the foundry industry must achieve green development. High-end foundry construction projects that are newly built or upgraded and upgraded should use clean energy such as natural gas or electricity. All processes that generate particulate matter or volatile organic compounds should be equipped with efficient collection and processing devices; material storage, transportation and other links should be on the premise of ensuring safe production. Under the circumstances, effective measures such as sealing and sealing should be taken to control fugitive emissions.
Enterprises that meet the conditions of environmental protection and other aspects will be included in the casting capacity list after verification by the relevant departments. In the list announced this time, there are 11 enterprises located in our city. The largest production capacity is Taiyuan Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. in Wanbolin District, reaching 645,300 tons; the largest enterprise is Qingxu County, with a total of 9 enterprises.
