A few days ago, the main structure of the new production plant of Chongqing Boao Magnesium Aluminum Metal Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (“Chongqing Boao”) high-performance magnesium-aluminum alloy materials and deep processing project (Phase II) has been fully completed. At present, the project has fully entered the stage of equipment installation and commissioning. After the equipment is debugged, trial production will be carried out step by step.
It is understood that the second phase of Chongqing Boao project is located in Pingshan Group, Pingshan Industrial Park, Chongqing City. The project covers an area of about 36 acres. It mainly builds new production facilities such as die-casting machine processing workshop, magnesium particle production workshop, magnesium alloy raw material workshop, and comprehensive warehouse. After the project is completed, it will have a production capacity of 20,000 tons/year of magnesium alloy raw materials, 7,200 tons/year of magnesium alloy particles, and 900,000 pieces (sets)/year of medium and large magnesium alloy auto parts.
According to reports, the second phase of the project is to expand production on the basis of the company’s existing first-phase construction of die-casting machine processing, and to increase the production of upstream raw material magnesium alloy ingots and magnesium alloy particles, thus forming a process from raw material production to product deep processing and mechanical processing. Assembly as one of the industrial chain to further improve the competitiveness of enterprises.
At the same time, the second phase of the project will also deploy 4 magnesium-aluminum alloy die-casting production lines and support automatic post-process processing (deburring, machining) T6/T7 heat treatment, passivation and other production facilities. By then, the company will have an annual production capacity of 900,000 pieces (sets) of medium and large magnesium-aluminum alloy auto parts.

Recently, Yunhai Metal stated on the investor interaction platform that its existing die-casting machines are equipped with various tonnages according to different die-casting products. Among them, the larger tonnages are 3000T, 3500T, 4200T and 6800T, and 6800T can be used for integrated die casting. According to market development, the company has plans to purchase more advanced and larger tonnage die casting machines to meet the needs of integrated die castings.
