Explore the future of the foundry industry!More than 300 member companies in the province gathered in Wuxi

Foundry is the foundation of equipment manufacturing industry. As a big country in foundry, my country has ranked first in the world in terms of casting output since 2000. However, with the development of science and technology, casting is gradually advancing in the direction of numerical control, automation, intelligence and mechanization. Facing the challenges brought by the new situation,The Second Member Congress of Jiangsu Foundry Society was held in Wuxi. More than 300 member companies from the province gathered together to discuss the future development of the foundry industry.

Jiangsu Foundry SocietyThe establishment of the Institute is to make positive contributions to promoting the development of the foundry industry and disciplines in our province. The convening of this congress will focus on the front-line casting technology workers as the service object, and carry out online and offline diversified training, exchanges and other activities; “Provide high-quality public service products; academic leadership,Focus on creating influential brand forums, seminars, and salons, focusing on cross-integration with brother societies and external exchanges and cooperation, stimulating the source of innovation, actively undertaking research projects, and carrying out scientific and technological innovation services.

Under the current circumstances, the transformation of foundry from labor-intensive to intelligent and automated has become the general trend. But for the entire foundry industry, the current biggest pressure does not come from products or processes, but technical means, such as the most well-known chips. As the new director of the society, Wang Hancheng, general manager of Wuxi Fudland Technology Co., Ltd., said that the next step in the development of the industry needs to focus on the product supply chain, rather than focusing on the product itself. Yes, by exploring these upstream supply chains, we can better make robots instead of directly studying robots.”

On the spot, the conference selected 11 advanced collectives and 27 advanced individuals of the first council of Jiangsu Foundry Society from 2016 to 2022, and elected a new council and supervisory committee. In the next stage, the Society will rely closely on its members, actively innovate work methods, strengthen the construction of the Society’s talent team, and strive to improve the ability and level of serving members.
