On October 26, the 75th World Foundry Conference opened at the Wende International Convention and Exhibition Center in Deyang. More than 1,500 outstanding experts, senior scholars and industry elites in the casting field from more than 30 countries around the world gathered together to share experience and explore the future. .
It is reported that this conference is held in China for the third time in 14 years, following the 61st (1995, Beijing) and the 69th (2010, Hangzhou).
With the theme of “The Developing Foundry Industry”, the conference will focus on the three major areas of casting science and technology, casting engineering applications, and casting talent training. It will organize 9 high-level conference reports and 18 exciting sub-forums, with participants from 26 countries 238 outstanding industry workers will share their valuable experiences and results.
During the conference, the 2024 International Foundry Exhibition will be held, with an exhibition area of 8,000 square meters, bringing together 123 well-known domestic and foreign companies to jointly display innovative technologies and products in the global foundry field. In addition, a series of activities such as the 2024 China Foundry Activity Week, the 2024 Global Foundry Industry Innovation Technology and Product Selection, the 2024 International Foundry Science and Technology Achievements Fair, and the 2024 International Foundry Photography Competition will also be held during the conference.

Especially in industrial application fields such as aerospace, automobiles, rail transit, machine tools, electric energy equipment, and internal combustion engines, R&D is active, and a number of new products have emerged. A large number of casting companies with high quality and specialization continue to drive the continuous progress of China's casting technology and accelerate global casting integration.” Ding Wenjiang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a speech on behalf of the conference. He sincerely invited colleagues in the casting industry from all over the world to come to China Casting. On-site inspections, in-depth exchanges and cooperation, jointly promote the development of the foundry industry and the progress of foundry technology in China and even the world.
As the venue for the conference, Deyang has a profound foundry heritage and is one of the largest heavy machinery and equipment production bases in China. It has the reputation of “China's Heavy Equipment Capital”. 60% of the country's nuclear power products, 50% of large power station castings and forgings, 40% of hydropower units, and 30% of thermal power units are manufactured in Deyang. It has domestic leading technological advantages in large thermal power, hydropower, nuclear power, ships, pressure vessel castings, etc. and product research and development capabilities.
