Recently, some citizens reported to us that “Jiangsu Xintai Casting Materials Co., Ltd.” located in Huaji Village, Yandu Street, Yancheng City, has environmental pollution problems, and the on-site conditions do not seem to be standardized.
According to reports from citizens, this factory has built several factory buildings next to the river. It looks like it has been around for a long time, and the iron sheets on the exterior walls are rusty and damaged. The most worrying thing is that the smoke emitted from the factory's chimney is abnormal in color and is suspected of exceeding the standard.
Walking into the platform outside the factory, it is even more shocking. There was a large amount of scrap metal, pipes and garbage piled messily on the ground. There was no sorting and no protection at all. Because the factory is very close to the river, if these randomly piled waste materials encounter a rainy day and dirty water flows into the river, the consequences will be disastrous. At present, there are no anti-leakage measures in the factory area close to the water body, and there is a risk of contaminating the river water.
I hope the local environmental protection and law enforcement departments can go to the scene as soon as possible to take a look at this behavior, strengthen environmental supervision, and prevent such pollution problems from happening again.
