Commercial Science and Technology Observation reports that CITIC Dicastal is currently developing magnesium alloy wheels for General Motors brand Cadillac. This is also the first high-end customized mass-produced magnesium alloy wheel developed for the OEM market. Compared with the forged aluminum alloy wheels of the same size, this magnesium alloy wheel reduces the weight by more than two kilograms.
CITIC Dicastal stated that the company has successfully developed a new generation of aluminum alloy application products to achieve high performance in parts with increased iron content in raw materials. The new product has already received orders from domestic manufacturers, and negotiations with overseas customers are underway.
