China News Service, Liaoning News, October 24 (Li Xi) On October 23, the 2021 Asian Foundry Industry Development and Cooperation Summit and the 2nd Asian Foundry Federation Annual Conference were successfully held at the Shenyang International Exhibition Center. This conference was jointly sponsored by China Foundry Association and Shenyang Municipal People’s Government, with the theme of “Industry Development and Supply Chain Construction in the New Era”. Representatives of the 12 members of the Asian Foundry Federation participated in the conference online and offline. The meeting was presided over by Gao Wei, senior manager of the China Foundry Association and secretary general of the Asian Foundry Federation.

The conference is divided into two parts: the keynote report and the invited speech.
Li Yizhong’s keynote report “Adapting to the changing situation, reforming and innovating, strengthening the foundation and consolidating the foundation” has made a detailed analysis of how China’s foundry industry, especially the Northeast foundry industry, can solve the development problems, and pointed out the direction for the development of China and Asia’s foundry industry; Zhang Zhiyong, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of China Foundry Association, gave a report on the “Overview of China’s Foundry Industry Development”. In addition to disclosing relevant data of the foundry industry in 2020, the report also introduced the main achievements of the foundry industry during the “13th Five-Year Plan” period, and “Fourteenth Five-Year” development strategy, goals and tasks; Song Xiaogang assigned the responsibility of the machinery industry with the goal of “double carbon”, and gave a wonderful report entitled “Challenges and Opportunities of the Machinery Industry with Double Carbon Targets”; Senior Manager of Norican Group Asia Pacific Vice President Wei Baohua gave a wonderful report on “Advanced Casting Technology Helps the Development of Asian Foundry Industry” from the perspective of international advanced equipment manufacturing services serving foundry enterprises; Yang Jiajia, the county magistrate of Zhangwu County, Fuxin City, Liaoning Province, made a presentation from the perspective of industrial park construction. “Zhangwu County: Building a Characteristic Industrial Park” report.
Japan Foundry Association, Korea Foundry Association, Malaysian Machinery Manufacturers Association, Taiwan Foundry Industry Association, Vietnam Foundry Association, Indian Foundry Association, Pakistan Foundry Association gave online speeches and reports, covering the profound impact of the new crown epidemic on the foundry industry and Countermeasures, transformation and upgrading of the foundry industry in the post-epidemic era, the introduction of financial support policies, the development trends and needs of the foundry industry, technology upgrades and training, etc.
The signing ceremony of “Shanxi Huaxiang signed with DISA to become the world’s first user of DISA TAG, a disruptive digital innovation product” was also held at the meeting. (over)
