Release ceremony of the fourth edition of “Casting Manual”
At the new book release ceremony, Chairman Lou Yanchun delivered a speech expressing that the Foundry Society attaches great importance to the revision of the new version of the “Casting Manual”. In order to ensure the authority of the new edition of the manual and effectively promote the progress and development of China’s foundry industry, the Society invited the top scholars and engineers in various fields of foundry to participate in the compilation, and formed the advisory members of Academician Liu Baicheng and Academician Li Yuanyuan, Lou Yanchun and Ding Wenjiang The academician is the director of the editorial board, and Li Wei, Dai Shenglong, Li Yuancai, Su Shifang, and Lu Zhigang are the editorial boards of the editors of each volume. Academician Shan Zhongde is the chief reviewer of the fifth volume. A total of 130 experts and scholars participated in this compilation. The writing team consists of 4 academicians, 66 professors and researchers, and 33 senior engineers. They are from Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Central Academy of Mechanical Sciences, Beijing Institute of Aeronautical Materials, Ningxia Sharing Group, and FAW 34 universities, research institutes and enterprises, including Foundry Co., Ltd., represent the highest level of China’s foundry industry.
Due to the important role of “Casting Manual” in the development of China’s foundry industry, the revision of the new version of the manual has also received great attention from the country. Once the manual revision project was established, it was selected into the “13th Five-Year” national key publication publishing plan.
