On December 5, BYD’s new energy auto parts project signing and industrial park groundbreaking ceremony was held in Xi’an. The planned total investment of the project is 15 billion yuan, covering an area of about 2,890 mu, and is mainly to build a production plant for core components of new energy vehicles such as electric assemblies, motors, and electronic controls.
BYD announced the latest sales data. In November, BYD’s passenger car sales volume was 97,242, an increase of 84.1% year-on-year. Among them, the sales of new energy soared 252.7% year-on-year to 90,121 vehicles. This is also the new monthly sales record of new energy passenger vehicles in China so far. So far, BYD’s cumulative sales in 2021 have reached 500,922.
