Wheel hub “turns to Guizhou”, industry “looks forward”-Guizhou Longkai Technology drives the extension and upgrade of the aluminum processing industry chain

Guizhou Park has resources and eastern enterprises have technology. The coupling of the two gave birth to Guizhou’s first automobile wheel manufacturing enterprise.

“Settled in the Heavy Industry Park of Baling Town, Xingren City, Southwest Guizhou, we not only changed its name from “Zhejiang Tailong Technology” to “Guizhou Longkai Technology”, but also brought equipment and technology from the Zhejiang factory to “package” to boost local aluminum The processing industry chain extends downward.” Chen Qing, general manager of Guizhou Longkai Technology Co., Ltd., said in an interview with reporters on November 25.

Before October last year, this company, located in Yongkang, Zhejiang, had been in the local area for 18 years. In the decision to relocate and open Guizhou, business decision-makers believe that the biggest attraction comes from the advantage of direct supply of electrolytic aluminum liquid in the park. In addition, the power supply guarantee for the interconnection of the local Southern Power Grid and the local power grids, as well as the surplus of productive labor, have also become important factors for enterprises to settle down. 1.4 kilometers away from the production workshop is Xingren Denggao New Material Co., Ltd.’s annual production line of 250,000 tons of electrolytic aluminum. Liquid aluminum lorries go back and forth between the two companies many times a day, and the upstream liquid aluminum has become the “lifeblood” of the production of downstream aluminum alloy wheels. In the opinion of Jiang Yingchun, manager of the technical department of Guizhou Longkai Technology Co., Ltd., compared to the past remelting of aluminum ingots in the “hometown” of Zhejiang, the introduction of molten aluminum into the factory has effectively reduced production costs.

“After inspecting the molten aluminum in the factory, we will add the molten aluminum, crystalline silicon, magnesium ingots, aluminum-titanium alloy and other raw materials into the alloy furnace to make A356 aluminum alloy. Among them, the aluminum liquid accounts for 92% of the ingredients. “Jiang Yingchun introduced that, after casting molding, riser cutting, heat treatment, numerical control processing, painting, finished product inspection, packaging and storage and other technological processes, one by one brand new wheels are rolled off the line. This production line covers an area of 300 acres and can produce 1 million lightweight aluminum alloy wheels per year, with an output value of 350 million yuan. The project started construction in November last year, and the company completed the equipment installation and commissioning in only 2 months. On January 28 this year, the first finished product of the project rolled off the assembly line, achieving a zero breakthrough for this product in Guizhou. Up to now, 600,000 pieces have been produced, and 800,000 finished products are expected to be produced throughout the year.

With the development of aluminum alloy deep processing as the development direction, what Guizhou urgently needs to make up is technology. The more than 3,000 wheel molds listed in the factory of Guizhou Longkai Technology Co., Ltd. represent that the company can produce more than 3,000 products. Over the years of technological accumulation, the company has 20 utility model patents and 1 invention patent; a sound R&D management system has also been formed within the company. “The company’s internal R&D team now has 63 people. We have specially established an aluminum alloy wheel hub product R&D center for competitive products. Externally, we have also signed a school-enterprise cooperation framework agreement with the School of Mechanical and Precision Instrument Engineering of Xi’an University of Technology. To support product development In 2021, R&D investment will account for 3.5% of sales revenue.” Jiang Yingchun said, from the establishment of new products to the delivery of finished products, the company continues to conduct scientific analysis of customer needs through a series of professional design, analysis software and experimental simulation equipment.

Technology has become a “bridge” between market and production. In the workshop, Chen Qing told reporters that the products produced by this process are mainly for the modified car market in Europe, America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and other places. The company’s foreign market share accounts for 20%, and the remaining gravity Furnace products are sold by dealers across the country to customers who need modified vehicles. “The low-pressure furnace products are produced for original equipment manufacturers. The process has high production efficiency, is suitable for mass production, and has better product performance.” Chen Qing said that in April this year, the company has passed the IATF16949 automotive quality management system certification. To meet the conditions for supplying downstream manufacturers, the next step is to cooperate with relevant automobile manufacturers in the province to provide supporting support for the development of new energy vehicles and other industries in our province.
