On December 22, Chongqing Wansheng District signed a project investment agreement with Nanjing Yunhai Special Metal Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Nanjing Yunhai Metal Company”) to build a high-performance lightweight magnesium-aluminum alloy production base and a magnesium-aluminum alloy innovation research and development center project. The investment in the new high-performance lightweight magnesium-aluminum alloy production base and magnesium-aluminum alloy innovation R&D center project in Wansheng District this time will provide strong technical support for Wansheng District to build a magnesium-aluminum alloy advanced material industrial cluster, which is a resource-based project for Wansheng District. According to the agreement, Nanjing Yunhai Metal Company plans to invest a total of 1 billion yuan to build a high-performance lightweight magnesium-aluminum alloy production base and a magnesium-aluminum alloy innovation research and development center in the Pingshan Group of Pingshan Industrial Park. The project is scheduled to start construction in April 2022, and will be completed and put into production before the end of October 2023. It is estimated that the annual output value will be about 600 million yuan, the annual tax payment will be about 16 million yuan, and about 500 new jobs will be created.
