As a joint venture of Rheinmetall Group in China, Huayu Pierburg Nonferrous Components (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (KPSNC) has won an important order for transmission housings from the world’s leading new energy vehicle OEMs. The order cycle is six years and will supply millions of transmission housing products.
In March this year, the company won an order from the well-known new energy vehicle OEM in the United States, with a total order value of hundreds of millions of euros. It plans to start mass production by the end of this year. Considering that the customer has a large vehicle manufacturing plant in Shanghai, the order will be subsequently produced at the company’s Shanghai plant. The gearbox housing is made of aluminum alloy die-casting process and will be applied to two models of customers.
This order is another major achievement of Rheinmetall’s electrification transformation strategy, and the company is further expanding its market share in the field of new energy drive systems.
