According to reports, in March 2019, the first phase of the Hangte lightweight chassis project was put into production. With the continuous expansion of the lightweight chassis business, on March 26 this year, the second phase of the lightweight chassis lightweight project of Hunter was started, and 5 intelligent production lines for aluminum alloy subframes, as well as supporting buildings such as production plants and R&D buildings, will be built. After the project is put into production, it can produce 1.5 million lightweight chassis components per year.
Zhang Zuoqi, manager of the planning and development science and technology department of Hubei Hangte Company, said that at present, the company has an annual production capacity of 10 million pieces of various aluminum alloy products, and can supply 700,000-800,000 aluminum alloy chassis for passenger cars annually. With the substantial increase in demand for new energy vehicles, the company’s orders for lightweight chassis have increased by nearly 40%, and it is expected to achieve an output value of about 1.8 billion yuan this year.
