On November 19, the Shandong Province “Skills to Promote Lu” Vocational Skills Competition – the 4th Shandong Province Foundry Industry Vocational Skills Competition kicked off in Yantai. The competition setting highlights professionalism and comprehensiveness, covering two major aspects: theoretical examination and practical assessment, focusing on three types of work: casting core workers, smelting and pouring workers, and casting mold workers. The theoretical examination adopts the AB paper lottery system to eliminate the risk of leakage of test questions; the practical assessment uses separate competition venues in Laizhou and Weifang and on-site awarding to comprehensively test the players' process control, operational skills and knowledge reserve levels.
Theory test siteAs the “industrial foundation” of the equipment manufacturing industry, the skill level of the foundry industry is directly related to the process of building a strong industrial province in Shandong.
