On November 19, the Shandong Province “Skills to Promote Lu” Vocational Skills Competition – the 4th Shandong Province Foundry Industry Vocational Skills Competition kicked off in Yantai. This two-day industry ceremony not only brought together the province's competent authorities, heads of industry associations, referees and 94 contestants, but also attracted many industry and enterprise representatives to witness. The competition uses skills competition as a link to inject strong momentum into the foundry industry into the construction of Shandong as an industrially powerful province.

This competition builds an industry-wide collaborative guarantee pattern. It is guided by the Shandong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security and the Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. It is hosted by the Shandong Provincial Foundry Association and the Shandong Provincial Defense Machinery and Electronics Union. It is hosted by the Laizhou Foundry Association. Flag handover ceremony

The competition setting highlights professionalism and comprehensiveness, covering two major aspects: theoretical examination and practical assessment, focusing on three types of work: casting core workers, smelting and pouring workers, and casting mold workers. The theoretical examination adopts the AB paper lottery system to eliminate the risk of leakage of test questions; the practical assessment uses separate competition venues in Laizhou and Weifang and on-site awarding to comprehensively test the players' process control, operational skills and knowledge reserve levels.

As the “industrial foundation” of the equipment manufacturing industry, the skill level of the foundry industry is directly related to the process of building a strong industrial province in Shandong. This competition is a vivid practice of the implementation of the “Skills to Prosper Lu” strategy.
