On the morning of February 1, the 2nd National Precision Casting and High-end Equipment Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition with the theme of “Intelligence to build the future in Jize” was officially launched in Jize County.
This competition adopts the method of online review and project road show. After project collection, preliminary competition, semi-finals, finals and other links, the first, second and third prizes will be selected respectively, and supporting policies will be implemented.
Jize collects high-quality innovation and entrepreneurship projects from universities, scientific research institutes and technology enterprises across the country, promotes the deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation, and promotes the transformation and upgrading of the county's leading industries.
“Based on the successful holding of the first competition, this competition has further optimized the competition system, set up two tracks, the innovation main competition and the enterprise proposition competition, and invited well-known domestic experts to form a jury to conduct a comprehensive review from the aspects of project innovation, technological advancement, implementation feasibility and market prospects. Those who achieve the implementation of the results can enjoy the support of scientific research funds and related talent introduction policies.” said Tian Dandan, director of Jize County Science, Technology and Industrial Information Service Center.
As a traditional pillar industry in Jize County, the foundry and equipment manufacturing industry has experienced more than 50 years of development. There are currently 149 production companies with an annual output value of nearly 6 billion yuan. The products cover various municipal castings, auto parts, high-end valves, engineering drilling rigs, etc., and are sold at home and abroad. In recent years, Jize County has regarded scientific and technological innovation as the core driving force of industrial transformation. It has established industry-university-research cooperation with more than 10 universities and research institutes including China Agricultural University, Zhejiang University, and Shandong University, and established academician workstations and R&D institutions. In particular, the establishment of the Jize Branch of the National Key Laboratory of Intelligent Manufacturing of High-end Engineering Machinery of Shandong University has achieved a “zero breakthrough” for the National Key Laboratory in Handan City, providing strong support for industrial innovation and development, and continuing to promote the development of the industry toward high-end, intelligent, and green development.
“In the next step, Jize County will use the competition as a medium and the county-level science and technology innovation center as a platform to vigorously introduce high-end talents, cutting-edge technologies and scientific research results, seize the development highland of precision casting and high-end equipment manufacturing industries, use more and better innovative results to promote the accelerated development of new quality productivity, and inject strong momentum into the industrial development and technological innovation of Jize County.” Tian Dandan said.
