China News Service, Handan, February 1 (Wei Xiao) On the 1st, the second National Precision Casting and High-end Equipment Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition with the theme of “Intelligent Jize·Building the Future Intelligently” was launched in Jize County, Handan City, Hebei Province. The competition is widely soliciting high-quality innovation and entrepreneurship projects from universities, scientific research institutes and technology enterprises across the country.
It is reported that this competition is sponsored by the Jize County Party Committee and the Jize County People's Government. After project solicitation, preliminary competition, semi-finals, finals and other links, online review and project roadshow are used to select the first, second and third prizes respectively, and support implementation policies.
“This competition further optimizes the competition system and sets up two tracks, the innovation main competition and the enterprise proposition competition, and invites well-known domestic experts to form a jury to conduct a comprehensive review from the aspects of project innovation, technological advancement, market prospects, implementation feasibility, etc. Those who achieve the implementation of the results can enjoy the support of scientific research funds and related talent introduction policies.” said Tian Dandan, director of Jize County Science, Technology and Industrial Information Service Center.
As a traditional pillar industry in Jize County, the foundry and equipment manufacturing industry has experienced more than 50 years of development. There are currently 149 production companies with an annual output value of nearly 6 billion yuan. The products cover various municipal castings, auto parts, high-end valves, engineering drilling rigs, etc., and are sold at home and abroad.
In recent years, Jize County has regarded scientific and technological innovation as the core driving force for industrial transformation and upgrading. It has established industry-university-research cooperation with more than 10 universities and research institutes including China Agricultural University, Zhejiang University, and Shandong University, and established academician workstations and R&D institutions. In particular, the establishment of the Jize branch of the National Key Laboratory of Intelligent Manufacturing of High-End Engineering Machinery of Shandong University has achieved a “zero breakthrough” for the National Key Laboratory of Handan City and provided strong support for industrial innovation and development.
